Briefing the media this afternoon, the UTH Public Relations Officer Nzeba Chanda revealed that Kalaba was now able to respond to his name by showing some gestures.
"The man has improved and is responding well to treatment. We can see a lot of movements and gestures, even in the way he is responding to sound. Those are the things that can tell he has really improved compared to the day he came," Chanda said.
She further said doctors are working round the clock to make sure that he is stabilised and are doing everything possible they can.
Kalaba was involved in a nasty traffic accident on Saturday that left a person he was with in the car dead.
